Kimiko Funamoto

Kimiko Funamoto (Japan) is a graduate of the Tokyo College of Music and graduate school of the chamber music course in Japan. Her colorful and passionate performances and flexible sensibilities have earned her the deep trust of her co-stars both in Japan and abroad. 

Five CDs were recorded and the music was broadcast on TV commercials and radio in Japan.

She won 1st prize piano duet in the 10th “Music and Earth” International Musical Competition (Sofia, Bulgaria), 1st prize in 6th Osaka International Music Competition (Japan), the highest prize in the 11th Suita Musical Competition (Japan), 1st prize in the 7th Young Artist Competition (Japan),and a prize winner in 12th International Piano Duet Competition (Japan), in addition to many other competition prizes.

She is the piano accompanist of “Ameropa International Music Festival and Chamber Courses”.2006,2007, in Czech Republic, a pianist of “Chamber art Festival” from 2008 in Spain. 

Member of Picolade Trio with Mrs.Kana WATANABE, and Mr. Wataru OKADA, 

also Duo Piano and Percussion (DPP) with Mr. Yuichi ISE.
