Pallab Pramanick has started playing violin at the age of 5 and piano at the age of 7. After learning violin for 6 months he had won his first trophy. At the age of 11, he got a scholarship on violin in Mumbai. There he had performed solo at the TATA Centre, NCPA(National Centre For The Performing Arts). He has won numerous competitions in Kolkata on both violin and piano. In 2011 he was the first runners up in a piano competition which had been arranged by The British Council. He has also performed with the Indian Youth Orchestra. He had been selected to play solo with them. He was the concert master and soloist at the Kolkata Symphony Orchestra. He has completed his DipABRSM in 2013 both in violin and piano. In Kolkata he has performed a lot of piano recitals. In 2017 he got a scholarship to Delhi by Neemrana Music Foundation for solo violin masterclasses. In 2017 he has also been selected by the Calcutta School of Music to get a full scholarship to attend the Ameropa Music Festival in Prague, Czech Republic. He was the only student there who had been selected to perform with the faculty members in Prague. He had also played with some of the members from the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra in Europe. He is the first Indian in the music festival. He has also performed with the Zlin Philharmonic orchestra as a first violinist conducted by Maestro Debashish Chawdhuri at Kala Mandir. He has been invited to play with the Bangalore City Chamber Orchestra (BCCO) as a first violinist. He has performed his first keyboard concerto in 2017 with the Calcutta Chamber Orchestra(CCO). In 2019 he had attended Ameropa again in Prague sponsored by the Calcutta School of Music and Maestro Debashish Chawdhuri. There he played piano with the famous ballet in the Czech Republic. He had performed a lot of Chamber music with other musicians from different parts of the world on both violin and piano. Now he is working as a teacher at the Calcutta School of Music on both violin and piano and also freelancing as a teacher, recording artist, piano accompanist and performer. He has got many international Teachers’ certificates for sending students to international competitions in Europe and USA. One of his students also hold the record for being the youngest candidate on grade 8 violin in India.
